Edge!

I followed your instructions on the http://rentalforums.nuclearfallout.net/ ... .php?t=928 , I also have sv_allowdownload set to 1

I uploaded the amx statsme "type" unreal soundpack (godlike.wav dominating etc....)
The problem I'm having is that I added the sounds to the server/sound/misc file
and seems people arent able to download them. They get a "cannot connect....sound/misc/domination.wav file is not found" error and disconnect.

I also removed the sv_downloadurl "http://yourwebspacesubdomain.nuclearfal ... server"and uploaded the same sounds to my servers "control panel" ftp sound/misc (like the old way) they uploaded fine, but whenever someone trys to connect they get the same error. What do you think it can be? I have since removed the sounds off the server until i can fiqure this out.

on a seperate note what do these errors mean?

The capitalization matters.

You have the sounds on your website capitalized, like "Dominating2.WAV" and "GodLike2.wav". You need to make them all lowercase like "dominating2.wav" and "godlike2.wav".

Seems like i can get it to work off server downloading if i add sounds to the servers/sound/misc, but not from the "url" process.

What I did was deleted the sounds from the "servers" sound/misc but now i get this error and just added sv_allowdownload http://inlandempiremaps.nuclearfallout.net/server in my server.cfg

BTW if your curious i made my own stats plug-in and the sounds are the lastest sounds from Unreal 2004. Thats why they are known as killingspree2.wav,prepare2.wav so if they downloaded another diffrent set than mine they will be diffrent. etc........I would really like to get these sounds to my pubbers and fast. And using the servers output just ain't gonna do it.

you should update the FAQ on your last line

sv_downloadurl "http://yourwebspacesubdomain.nuclearfallout.net/server"

Restart the server or wait for a map change for the setting to take effect.

sv_downloadurl "http://yourwebspacesubdomain.nuclearfallout.net/server"(w/o quotes)

i was getting nothing when i added quotes.

You still have most of those files capitalized on the website. As far as I know that is your only problem. You can see from your screenshot that it seems to only have problems with the files that you capitalized.

NM I fixed it!

It was a problem with the software that i used to convert the the uax files into wavs. It capitalized the ending .WAV) Thanks Edge. Does anyone know how to get a full file name? Because everytime i would change it, It would always show the .WAV as capitals. I couldn't fix it to where i was able to get the whole file name. I had to use the server to make the .WAV into .wav. I tried right-clicking the file and choosing "rename" but that was no help. Anyways if you like custom maps and want to hear the new 2004 unreal tourneyment sounds stop by my server or dl them from my site and give me credit for it Peace- Out.

Leave the quotes on forget or edit out my last post.
