BF4 may be able to run around the same number, especially if DICE implements small additional optimizations. A v2 or v3 would also be a bit faster, though it's still not clear how much (the beta was short and players were spread out over so many servers from all the providers that we didn't get very good performance data beyond the first night).
Doesn't that almost directly contradict what is posted here: http://www.nfoservers.com/forums/viewto ... =70&t=5815
Not directly, no. Many customers like to push the usage of their machine beyond our limits, which are actually somewhat conservative. We aim for 40% but pushing it around 50-55% is likely OK.

BF3 servers also have a multithreaded option which was added after the posting of that guide which can help spread the usage onto another core.

Lastly usage varies and has changed a bit after all of the patches and DLC's.
@Kraze^NFo> Juski has a very valid point
@Juski> Got my new signature, thanks!
@Kraze^NFo> Out of context!
@Juski> Doesn't matter!
@Juski> You said I had a valid point! You can't take it back now! It's out there!

This fleshes out that information a bit based on what we've seen performance-wise since 2011.
