Chaning phpBB Theme

Post by Profane »

Server: seattlestars.nuclearfallout.net:27015
Game: CS 1.6
Problem:
Okay, I followed this tut exactly and the theme is still not on the "Style admin list" waiting to be installed.... What did i do wrong?

Here is the tut I followed

Adding Styles
This panel will allow you to add new styles. To add a new style, simply click Install in the appropriate row. This panel automatically detects uninstalled styles in your template directory.

Important: When installing a new template(e.g. one that you downloaded), be sure that your new template directory is nested correctly in the templates directory. It also must have the correct name (case sensitive). For instance, if you had a new template named subCheese, then in the templates directory you should have a folder called "subCheese" (not "subcheese"), and in that folder will be all of your template files (*.tpl files).

Thanks for your help.

make sure the theme is compatible with phpbb 2.0.11

if its not showing up in the styles admin to be installed, then there is some files missing in the theme itself, most likely the theme cfg file.

could you provide the link to the theme you trying to install?

I know your post says for phpbb, just making sure its not phpnuke

I see you are using phpnuke here: http://teamss.nuclearfallout.net

is that the site you trying to use for theme?

or is it your phpbb installation: http://teamss.nuclearfallout.net/forums

if its phpnuke, that theme isnt going to work then. If its phpbb forums (2nd link), then you need to upload all those files into a folder inside the templates folder called BBTech.

you might need to check the "yes" radio button under the derfault theme to override user preferences.
