I have all the info on the person who did it, can they be banned by valve and steam or what? So far I have their IP, and i am going to track that tomorrow.

I don't think that Valve would respond to that sort of 3rd-party information.

You might consider contacting the person's ISP. Sometimes an ISP will suspend or terminate a customer's account for this sort of malicious behavor, or at least contact his parents so that he can be reprimanded.

What make sou believe, its a kid with parents. And what do you mean third party information? I had my website deleted, my server was messed with and, I traced the IP. to a company where Iam sure they will as you said be able to find the person. And yes I hope cut their connection.

Sorry and I also have logs proving someone with an ip using somoeone elses account wiping my website out, also on a side note is it possible that NFO has a way to restore the website to the ponit before it was wiped?

That's the most common scenario.

Information that Valve did not collect itself.

We do not keep backups of renter websites, no.

If you are concerned that something happened on our end, you need to email us. We can't effectively help you with problems specific to your account through the forums.

Thanks I was just asking questions as to my rights. I am thankful for the info you have given me. I realize you dont keep backups, I am already working on my website, I just thought you might have an actuall sytem resore point.

I do have another question though are you running the website space off the same box as the server?

No the gameserver and the webserver are on completely different boxes. It would really undermine quality to run webhosting on the same box as the gameservers and vice versa. Our webserver is linux and the gameservers are windows based.

thanks you , I have noticed compromised ping on my site since the website was added, but I am sure it has to do with something else. I was wondering if it is possible to reset my server to the way it was when I ordered it, but I will email NFO that info when I get home casue I remeember what settings I had and since the hacking event my server is different.

we can reset the server if you wish to the metamod plugins you originally had and all when you first got the server, or you can install those later through easy setup tab.

Just simply email us for that authorization :)

As for the pings:

I would run a tracert and see if theres anything looks different on your routing to the server, email that and your IP to us and we can see if anythings changed or affecting it. Some plugins for amx and such can raise the pings slightly as well.

I do have another question, I am the one who sets the pasword in the control panel, and I am trying to send a message through thte server and it is giving me a bad password error. Why is that? I know the pssword, cause I set it and I am sending the message through the server control right below the password.

did you just change the rcon password?

did you exec cal.cfg or other cfg that set a different one or perhaps set a blank one?

those issues come up when you get that error. Check your cfgs to make sure no other rcon is used and also restart the server when you can and see if error still comes back up

come into IRC if you have more issues, IRC info is at the top of the support forums.

OK I have fixed that but now I can not get the server to cycle maps and it doesnt give the prompt of headshot in voice when you get headshot and also doesnt say so and so is on a killing spree. Where do I email you to have the server set to its original state, from when I ordered it. Iwill include specs.
