did the amout you guys charge in the seattle area change?
it appears to be diffrent than it was a few weeks ago
i was looking at getting a few more slots for our troy1 server
but it seems the cost for player slot increases with the more player slots
you want. do you have a set rate per player slot? increase
if we doubled the player slots we have now it would be more than a 50%
of the cost we are paying with existing slots.we are happy with the server
and service. but a standard would be nice .maybe we just got the special or somthing when we signed up i dont know.

server price
hello my name is wepainters and i approve this message
We changed our pricing schedule on January 18 and posted about it on the news page.
Our prices are based on the statistical CPU and bandwidth usage of each size and type of server. Some more naive companies use a "per slot" pricing scheme that is ultimately less fair to both parties.
You originally added this to an existing unrelated topic. I've split it out for you.

lets say i wish to move the server to san jose
and keep the seattle location for a bit could i put a reroute
type of thing on seattle based server to san jose if the seattle server was full
to move our players without dropping a sudden change with no
warnings on ip addrees
this would give a little time for the players to be informed

you can do that, just order a 2nd server in san jose for the time being
copy the files over from FTP of seattle to the FTP of san jose
setup redirection on the seattle server when its full, as well as advertise using amxx that the server ip is changing and the new one is xx.xxx.xxx.xxx etc.
So for approx a month, you would have 2 servers, one in seattle and one in san jose. Then cancel the one in Seattle when you know everyones made the transition and knows the new ip.
This idea would require a different DNS of course, such as troy2.nuclearfallout.net or something to that sort.
