phpMyAdmin Help

Hey Guys,
Trying to install phpmyadmin so i can run the phpnuke SQL file. But when i upload the files i cant login. Any ideas? I think its working. A login window pops up. And when i use my website username and pass and it doesnt let me in. i also edited the config.inc.cfg to point to my database and it still doesnt let me login. Any ideas????
