12 Slot San Jose Private $55
Anyone else feel this is way to pricey for a private server?
Not sure how you are getting $55 dollars when you price it out here for $32.99.
If you are adding on vent/hltv package and/or ping accelerator, then that changes the pricing. That increases the servers you have with us, not just a private server.

Did you mean $55 for a private, accelerated, 16-player CS:S server? It looks like that combination costs around that much.
We've come to find out that accelerated CS:S servers are very expensive to operate. 100 tickrate causes them to use 2-3 times the CPU usage they normally would, and the high rate of packets they generate also means they use more bandwidth (the bandwidth is less of a concern, but unfortunately CPU usage means it uses more hardware, and hardware is very expensive).
All of our prices are based on actual, realized costs to us. These costs may be higher than some of our competitors because we don't skimp on anything -- the highest quality bandwidth (InterNAP), the fastest hardware (dual Opterons, including 252's), the best service, and the best control panel all come standard, and we don't compromise them. Cheaper prices mean a company is cutting at least 2 or 3 of those factors, or that they are overloading their machines, or that they just don't understand how much these things cost to run (and as a consequence, probably that they'll be going out of business soon).
