I need help with Servers

Post by AWP-Savarous »

I dont know exactly if this is the right part of the forums to get help.
But my leader just have purchased a server from you guys. For Return To Castle Wolfenstein, and i normally know how to set up the banimod as to our last host VSK. But im not to clear how to upload BaniMod with the server we have baught. And we would really like to start playing on the server with our mod. I own a server for ventrilo off this company and i understand the Control Panle but. I dont get how to upload a bani i know how to use FTP but see our last host when we go to upload we upload it then go to a remote then it will have a cmds like +fs_banimod; +fs_bani +g_game1 and other stuff. But i cant find anything like that nor understand how to use banimod with nuclearfallout. Is there any solution to my problem please?
Thanks

Looking on the site it gives pretty clear install instuctions here. Just keep in mind the servers are windows based, not linux.

You would need to request those cvars to be added to the command line via email, rentals @ nuclearfallout.net (remove spaces). We would need to make a determination on how this mod affects the the cpu usage, if theres any increase.

Since this is a server specific issue, it would be best if you went to email with us on this so we know which server is yours.

The owner should request that to be added via the registered primary user of the control panel. The command line is something you cannot see using the control panel; it is the line used for the server startup. We need an email from the owner to start this process so we know which server it is and it proves authorization of the mod by the owner of the gameserver.

You most likely need that cvar added to commandline before troubleshooting anything else. There should be a separate folder with the new mod files and configs inside that, such as server.cfg and other items. Please have the owner email us.

i dont know if u ever heard of the company VSK but there command line was a remote it also controled the server shut down and restarted the server it was on the same page and the command line was above the triggers so there for i problably couldnt do anything with that

my leader gave me his info for server control like the day he baught it i have control of the server but its better if he contacted the rentals support team.

We don't allow access to the command line because it controls several critical things such as maxplayers and ip. This goes for all our gameservers of various gametypes.

Note: The server's owner could set you up with an email address @awp.nuclearfallout.net, chances are the Banimod people would help you then. This is available on the 'email' page inside of the control panel.
- This is not to say we wont try our best to help you ourselves though. :)
