We've actually had them available on the ordering page for a little over a week now. As far as ranked servers go, we are still waiting on a reply from EA. Hopefully we will have some news on that in a day or two.

Any news on the ranked servers yet? I'm interested in setting up a BF2 server but would prefer that it were ranked.

We're still waiting on a second response from EA on ranked servers. In their first email, they laid out the conditions, which we agreed to.

Do you think your pricing is going to change once you are able to host ranked servers?

No news is good news...
Seems llike alot of other host are hosting ranked servers?
They must donate to Ea and Gamespy..
Im not totally sure if I want a ranked server anyways.
Right now most peeps want to get weapons unlocked and try to be in the top dog list.
But after awhile that will get old and they will want to play the custom
servers and thats where I think Im headed, in that direction.
Custom server running Rising Conflicts Mod and weapons unlocked..
Im still waiting for BF2ccDaemon release? And I hope that they have option to reserve slots on server b/c my unranked server is so populated I rarely can get on.

BF2cc Daemon

Post by Sledster » Fri Jul 15, 2005 11:19 am

The first release of BF2CC Daemon Beta v1.0.2020 RC3
This GUI is a must for admin management for the game server.
It looks as if NFo Linux Admins need to install this.
So what im asking is NFo to install Daemon so BF2 servers can be mannaged better.

It looks like they're aiming to make the daemon replace other control panels. It mainly adds start/stop/restart and multiple-user capabilities to the rcon manager, which our CP has.

We will have to look into this and decide whether to switch to the daemon or continue with the rcon utility. The rcon utility has a surprising amount of power.

BF2cc Daemon is just a better tool for admin managment, instead of giving full acsess like NFo Cpanel.
As for BF2cc demo version goes, no management!
Anyway's, just a thought...

The daemon is not working when I try it, so we will hold off for a fixed version.

BF2CC

Post by efs-ChAoS » Wed Jul 20, 2005 10:54 am

FYI when using BF2CC (rcon) to change any configurations to serversettings.con (map order specifically) It will crash the server. So we are basically using it for changing maos, kicking and banning. It still has quite a few bugs
