PHPMyAdmin inparticular is a problem if you forget to make a user and password to access it. A good SQL programmer would know how to retreive any data stored in your SQL tables simply from the MYSQL queries. I am giving this advice to you so you do not regret it later. Make a .htacces and .htpasswd I believe it is to your PHPMyAdmin directories. You should follow the NFo tutorial on how to do this by going here and following the instructions. This will save you later so you can not get your PHPNuke/MYSql tables hacked/tampered with. Side note to not make your password/username too easy to guess. Hackers are infamous for guessing usernames/passwords . Hope this helps in the fight to stop intrusion.
