moving diagonaly

Post by butler »

I have ben having an issue with my settings. When I use the forward button and try to strafe sideways at the same time to creat the diagonal movement I stop. anyway I try I cant move diagonal. If i reinstall steam I am fine. This seams to happen after I have played on a death match server. Any suggestions?

My keyboard settings are set to default. As far as the worst thing is restarting steam......did that didn't work. And my keyboard settings are fine. i am guessing that it is possible that I may have gotten some spyware that was monitoring key strokes and when I ran spyware it blocked those so I am reinstalling once again all of CS and Steam. thanks for your input.

if everything is set to default then it should be fine since you restarted steam, do you have webroot spysweeper? if not downoad it here http://www.team-allegiance.net/Downloads/SpySweeper.exe its off my website. it's the trail version, but it never expires, save the exe file and once every 6 months uninstall and reistall it so that it can update the protection.

Unfortunatley that is not the case. you can set everything to default, and never know this problem. Default settings dont affect this. I did restart steam and that did not work. And this is not an issue to do with spyware. It was a server side deal where when I logged on to a server it changed the settings in my client side settings. not all servers are set to NFO standards. And some ask if they can scan your system for hacks or what ever.

so 1. if someone ever says they cant move diagonal try cl_sidespeed and cl_forwardspeed make sure that the number behind each is the same.

2.Make sure that all your config files are set to read only, you can do this by going into you Sierra files and right click on any cfg file and click on properties. That will bring up a window that has the option of checking a read only box at the bottom of the window this should be done for all cfg files.
