Hi, I'm thinking about ordering a 2k4 server and just wanted to ask a couple quick questions.
1) Would we be allowed to modify the tickrate? Standard for UT2K4 is 25 I believe, but the league we play in mandates a 35-40 tickrate and 40 is preferred.
2) You mention on your site that you don't overload the servers. Can you give me a sense of what guidelines you use (i.e. do you use total player slots, # of servers, average cpu usage, etc.) to keep that from happening? It seems like every server I've rented (from XGS to Griffin Run, and others) runs well or awhile, but then a couple of months in it starts running poorly as the company tries to fit more servers on a given box.
3) If we select High CPU Priority, do you only have 1 High CPU Priority server per box, or how does that work?
4) How much storage space would we have on the server for maps and server side demos?
Thanks in advance for your time.

Absolutely, in fact we encourage that.9 Inches of Afro wrote:1) Would we be allowed to modify the tickrate? Standard for UT2K4 is 25 I believe, but the league we play in mandates a 35-40 tickrate and 40 is preferred.
We base our determination of whether a machine is overloaded on CPU usage, primarily. We have thresholds that, when reached, signal to our systems that they need to move a server off a node and onto another, and those moves are performed automatically each morning. Usually this does not require manual intervention from us, but we also respond to any customer concerns, and can move a server at any time if necessary.2) You mention on your site that you don't overload the servers. We create high priority servers just like the others, but with a higher priority level in the OS. It's sort of a gamble on whether other customers on the machine will have it. Generally only a third of our customers choose this option, since it doesn't usually make much of a difference to performance.3) If we select High CPU Priority, do you only have 1 High CPU Priority server per box, or how does that work?
2 GB.4) How much storage space would we have on the server for maps and server side demos?
