PTBx for CS:Source

Alright, so listen ...

I've seen two different team balancers for CS:Source on random servers: ETB (Eric's Team Balancer) and PTBx (Ptahhotep's Team Balancer).

I gave ETB a whirl, and was disappointed overall.

Now, I want to give PTBx a try.

However, I have been unsuccessful in finding both PTBx and instructions for its configuration!

I stumbled across some info that the original PTB was designed for CS 1.x, and also that PTBx was an AdminMod X plugin only (since I'm running Mani's Admin Plugin, I wouldn't be able to install that version).

I also found what appears to be a version of PTBx that was bundled with an admin manager called XADmin, and it looks like it might work (there is a .dll, a .vdf, and a .so for metamod plugins), yet I wasn't able to find any information on configuring the ptb.cfg file, or anything else.

Can someone point me in the right direction? I'd appreciate it!

Unfortunately I'm not very familiar with PTBx personally. But I do know that it was crippled pretty badly in the last update, so you may want to wait a bit for Valve to support it better before you give it a try. ETB may be in the same boat.

I know that HLSTATS-X provides a team balancer. It does it based on score. If one side is out scoring the other in kills it will switch the teams around to balance it out. Just another thing to think about if your looking for team balancing. I have HLSTATS-X but I have not enabled the balance option, so I cannot speak to whether it really works or works well.
