Psychonuke on a PHPnuke website

Post by tele »

Hi Guys,

I am with the oSc team, and responsible for the website of things.

We have phpnuke on our website
http://onesolidcrew.nuclearfallout.net
I would very much like to use psychonuke on that, but it seems that it cant find the pstats_ table?

This is the error message:
Fatal Session Error: 133: Table 'osc.pstats_sessions' doesn't exist

Any one has an idea?

btw. info here
http://www.psychonuke.com

Cheers

The stats are actually hosted on a separate machine and aren't configured to be accessed from the webserver.

Did you use our convenient php-nuke autoinstaller, btw?

Hey Edge,

Phew that was fast, I have just edited the post with error message.

What do you mean PHP-Nuke autoinstaller? Didn't even know you has such a thing, :)

Well any way i did it all myself via FTP and testing at home.

The tough part is the psychonuke stuff, i want that to work as well.
I suspect you have all the different Psychostats tables for your customers Psychostats stored in a database different to the Mysql used for their webspace?

Try and have a look at the http://www.psychonuke.com, this is what i am after, the way you provide a few scripts, doesn't allow me to modify it at all.

My question now is, would it be possible to gain access to the MySql used for our Psychostats?

Thank you in advance, the speed with which you reply is truly amazing.

Customers have a psychostats database on the stats machine. It is separate from the webserver and hosted in a different city. Permissions don't currently allow it to be accessed from the webserver.

Does that mean that we have to install Psychostats on our website?

If that is the case, can we make that run the stats once a day as the one you provided?

Otherwise may i suggest you change the scripts that you made, enabling us to make changes to the way the output looks.

Something just strikes me, are your scripts using Psychoquery to get
the info?

The scripts i am talking about are the ones in you Website FAQ.

No, that's not something you can do.

You can make changes to the way they look by editing the files on the stats machine by using the FTP from the Stats manager. You just can't access the mysql server from the webserver machine.

We can consider changing our security policy to allow that.
are your scripts using Psychoquery to get the info?.
No.

Hey Edge,

Let me just say one thing, if it in any way shape or form, makes your security week then dont.

I rather have your security at it's best, than a flashy thing on the website.

On the other hand if you can see a way of doing it, then let me know I dont mind being test person.

Just so you know i am only just starting out in PHP and MYSql, but i am a programmer and do know how to read code.

I still haven't seen the email in our rentals@ account.

Make sure not to email me personally, that's just a spam catcher at this point.
