HLSS

Post by polak »

I was wondering if any one else has been getting a weird problem.

When I use hlss, and install logmod off course, logmod only works after I restart my server, for how long it works? I really dont know, sometimes 1 day sometimes less. My point is, that for some reason, logmod quits working.
Maybe after using the cp, maybe something else. Its just getting nerve racking.

Any Idea what causes it?

Thanks

P.s I still own a server from another hosting company, logmod always works there, so Im pretty sure its not hlss or logmod that has the problem.

I generally recommend not using logmod. logaddress_add and logaddress_del, which are built into the game now, pretty much absoleted it.

How would I used that?

Maybe add this in the tutorials?

Thanks

You use it like the "logaddress" command, but it adds the IP address to a list rather than replacing the currently logged-to host.

What are you using that requires streaming logs?

Have you been using the rcon tool on the Server control page of the CP? For HL1 servers, it uses "logaddress" and could be interfering with your system.
