Need help with FTP

Hi. Could somebody tell me how to upload a Map on the server. I dragged my map into the MAPS folder of the FTP and when i let my mouse go it says it wants to open the file or it wants to save this file on DESKTOP. Please help me

Looks like you are not using a FTP client that supports file transfers. Are you using a browser? If so, what browser are you using? If you are using firefox, you will need to use a true FTP client that can transfer files. If you are using IE v7, then you need to move away from the listing of files into the FTP client style that can transfer files which we explain here
