The Omega and the Alpha…

Many years have gone by for this game as players have come and gone and leagues have been played through time and time again. Firearms has become an amazing surreal experience to some and a complete nightmare to others. Many would say that FA ended quite a few years ago as the community was split and 2 new mods formed both with the objective of carrying on the legacy of Firearms: Firearms 2 and Firearms: Source. A major turning point is about to take place, and it’s up to the community of Firearms to embrace it and resurrect our past FA and allow it to be reborn anew.

There have been many Team Wars FAL leagues happening over the past year or so that some could consider successful and others a failure. The fact is, there is no other game right now that plays or feels like FA, therefore FA is what we love to play so much. Because of this, we must move through FA in order to step to the next level. The last Team Wars has just ended. Congratulations on the win sA! Now a new Team Wars season will begin, however this season will not be like all of the previous seasons of FAL Team Wars. In fact this new season will probably be the last season of FAL in Firearms and the last league to ever see Firearms. The details of this season are:

There will be captains who will draft their teams like a normal PUG layout.

a. This will be done by all of the signed up players pooled together, and then picked individually.
Depending on the number of players signed up will affect the number of teams we will have and therefore the number of captains

b. If you wish to be a captain for a team you may specify in the Player Signup Thread.

You may be wondering so far how this season will be different than any other… Well the following entails how:

ALL players who sign up and ACTIVELY PARTICIPATE in this season of FAL will be granted Beta access to Firearms 2. The Beta for Firearms 2 will be released immediately at the end of this last season of FAL for Firearms 3.0 ONLY to those players who sign up and make an effort to play with their teams.

c. Those players who choose not to participate in this season will be allowed to play FA 2 at a later date than those who choose to participate in this season.

The Champion ship match in this season of FAL will be played in Firearms 2, officially launching the open testing for Firearms 2 and the beginning of a new era for Firearms.

d. This means that the 2 teams who make it to the top of this season will play against one another under the game Firearms 2.

e. This will be the 1st official match EVER to be played in Firearms 2 History and the last official match to conclude the Firearms 3.0 FAL season.

d. Most matches will be played on Sundays, so if you can't play on Sundays then you probably shouldn't sign up.

If you have any questions or comments you may post them here and a FAL Admin may answer accordingly. I encourage all of you to spread the word as much as you can. We have a short time to get people signed up to play the new season and the more people we have the better!
