ok so im wondering if i can start one of my servers using a diffrent cfg then Server, say a deathmatch.cfg same commands but changed, how would i go about doing this if i could

Sure. If you have a HL1/HL2/Orangebox server, try adding this to your server's command line:

You didn't enable a firewall, I hope!

I'm not seeing any network or power problems right now that would cause this on our end, but please email and I can take a closer look at your specific situation.

ok, now when i load my server it stay up for about 5-10 seconds then just exits, any idea why?

There are a ton of factors that can lead to server crashes, but I'd recommend looking at your plugins first. Disable them temporarily to see if that addresses the crash, and if it does, reenable them one-by-one until it starts again. Then, replace or repair the problem plugin.

If it it still crashes with plugins disabled, the problem could be with missing/corrupted files, such as with a missing starting map. In that case, you should re-run the hldsupdatetool and make sure that you're starting with a stock map.

Perfect! Only thing I might add is if it still won't work after you do all of the above, do a fresh install of HLDS and all new plugins and addons.
