my server just started shutting down on me, whats up?

It looks like Valve is having WON or VAC problems, which killed off huge amounts of servers and are making server restarts slow as well. Hopefully they'll have these taken care of quickly.

cool, a free upgrade to level 3.. can you give me an approximation of downtime? longer then 6 hours?

is this why it says "ERROR Sever Verification Failed" when i try to connect to servers? A lot of people seem to be having the same problem

For future reference. Anytime I ever got an "Error: Server verification failed" message; I just restarted the server and it worked fine. Great when your idling in channels where everyone is complaining about not having a server to play on and yours works.

I dunno though. Thats what works for me when I get that message. But the other spuradic restarts by valve suck.

ok i know how you said earlier its a vac problem or another i forgot the name and am too lazy to look back

but when i view my control panel it shows the server is up?
