i need help with l4d2 i recently installed l4d2 on my machine and created a server. and i did an update. then tryy connecting to the server

Is the server running properly? The earlier output indicates that you just couldn't connect. Does executing "status" in its console show the IP and port # that you are trying to connect to?

This is a quick, initial troubleshooting step, and we'll proceed from here with other things that could prevent you from connecting.
(Your connection problem has nothing to do with the BinkOpen bit.)

im not sure what you mean. did you want me to open l4d2 and go to its console and type status?

To clear that up a bit, Edge was referring to the server's own console in his post, not the console in the game client. It sounds like you got it working though. Is it continuing to work properly?
