Hello forum!
I have came here because my linux vps server is being ddosed with all sorts of issues. We can block the IP's, but it really isn't enough. Half the time I wake up having to restart apache and sometimes the server because of the issues. Is there anything we can do to stop them for good? Honestly this can't be good for the company either considering it's wasteful towards bandwidth. And it has caused me to waste 10GB of traffic in two days, and that's not right considering I host a vBulletin forum on it and that can surely not take that much bandwidth.
If there's any programs I can install or anything that the hosting company can do to limit that traffic into our server, that'd be fantastic.

Re: Linux Ddos
None of our VDS customers have seen a bandwidth-based DDoS recently, so it's likely that this is a fairly simple application-specific DDoS that you'll be able to track down and block. Are you seeing it in logs somewhere? What are the exact symptoms? If possible, please post examples of the logs themselves.
