Install VPN on VDS

Post by dukenukemz »

Would i be able to install a VPN on a VDS its for basically getting on to Hulu and other sites that the united states "blocks" canadian users from viewing for some weird reason. If so any suggestions on which VPN server or program i should use? ive used hamachi before but i dont know if its the most reasonable one to use.

You could use a VPN for this, but you might also be able to get away with using a simpler proxy server. One like this might work well, if you run Windows: http://www.softpedia.com/get/Internet/S ... roxy.shtml

If you run Linux, it's even simpler to set up a proxy, since you don't need special server software. You can use Putty and the SSH protocol for this: http://www.jonlee.ca/how-to-secure-your ... ith-putty/
