The window you're showing there is for VNC. We strongly recommend using Remote Desktop instead of VNC, as it is much faster and more feature-rich (and also has the file transfer capabilities that you're looking for).

Clicking Start->Accessories->Communications->Remote Desktop Connection should bring up the RD client connection window. If you do not see this shortcut, you may need to download and install Remote Desktop from Microsoft: http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/down ... ENTDL.mspx

Once you're inside the Remote Desktop application, expand "Options", click the "Local Resources" tab, click "More.." at the bottom, and check the hard drive(s) you wish to show up in Explorer on your VDS.

I connected via remote desktop application and all is well but where is the "options" area? I don't see it anywhere

Just to be clear, does it matter if I am using a iMac? Do I need to connect using windows OS?

Thanks,

Remote desktop is specific to the Windows OS. I'm not sure if the MAC OS has an alternative for it, or if a 3rd party solution is available.

Remote Desktop clients are available for just about any OS. You can find a client for Macs here: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/en/d ... laylang=en

I do not know if the same options will be available for sharing files and folders in their Mac release, however.

Have you also tried downloading the .msi through the web browser on the VDS? Usually that's the fastest and easiest way to get files onto one :)

Thanks John (is that your name?) for the tips!!!

btw, it is SUNDAY and you should have the day off, lol.

I am at work right now :x and will give these things a shot when I get home. Maybe I will try here but I know my company has these computers locked down by the Admin. Can not istall anything or change stuff. :x Recently had a Virus attact the whole company system through a PDF file so I am sure access will get even more limited.

Thanks
