apt-get update

Post by rustydusty1717 »

Well John, this is a first for me. Never had an issue running the update command, but I'm getting it now. Googled it and tried a few things, yet none of them seemed to work. Here's what it's telling me though:

Error Downloading Packages:
poppler-0.5.4-4.4.el5_5.13.x86_64: Insufficient space in download directory /var/cache/yum/updates/packages
* free 0
* needed 3.0 M

There's nothing in /var/cache/yum/updates/packages.

I won't post the rest, as it is just different packages trying to download to the folder. All say there is insufficient space.

It sounds like your partition is full. What is the output of "df"?

Hmm, it looks like your partition is 10 GB instead of whatever it's supposed to be (likely 100 GB). Please go ahead and open a support request about this and I can investigate further.
