I signed up yesterday for a single core server option, and so far am thoroughly loving the hosting. However, I'm not a fan of the generated password I got for my remote login...
So, my question is simple. If I log in as admin, go to the user account, and change the password, will that change make my remote login password the same. I believe it should, but don't wanna mess something up.
Password related question.

Re: Password related question.
I'm glad to hear that it's working well for you
.
Right now, the VNC console password can't be changed from the user perspective (if you have a security breach, you'll have to let us know so that we can change it on our end). Through the OS, you can change the system password used by it for Remote Desktop / SSH. If you do this it will not be updated in the database here, so the pages will still show the old information.

The VNC console password still needs to be changed by us, but the remote password for the OS (remote desktop/SSH) can still be changed as before.
VNC should only be used when the other options will not work, anyhow. While VNC offers a level of access higher, it also has many limitations, such as speed. Also, because of the access level of VNC, strong passwords like the ones generated are highly recommended.
