I am having difficulty with the VNC Console option in the control panel. At first
it worked with no issue but now I just get a black screen with no message or
error like it is connecting but receiving no data? I have changed the
default ssh port to 49150 to avoid alphabet attacks and the like as well as
installed CSF Firewall. I am not 100% sure what the issue is but even after
flushing iptables I have the same issue. Does ssh have to be on port 22 for
vnc to work out of band? I do not have a graphical interface installed just
the command line and I am running ubuntu 10.10 x64
It seems that even disabling the firewall and changing the ssh port back has no effect? Must I have a gui installed? I could have sworn it worked fine on delivery....Thanks for the advice and help

Re: VNC Console Issue/Question
Are you just seeing the default Linux screen blanker? Try hitting a key with the VNC console window open.
