Hello,

I'm having trouble with setting up Shoutcast on the VPS that I can't seem to find on the forums. I have followed guides online, but it has come to me not being able to connect to shoutcast via winamp; it disconnects me instantly.

Can anyone help me out?

I was actually following the second like you provided, until I came to the part where I had to

Enter the IP address of your shoutcast server as well as the port and password that you setup in the shoutcast server configuration.
Click on the "Yellowpages" button to enter a name for your shoutcast server:

Click Connect

When I click connect, it disconnects me instantly

Hm I read through it and wasn't able to find the specific area you were talking about. I can ask John to take a look at this topic and maybe he will be able to help. However John is away on business at the moment and wont be back for several days.

You're going to want to turn the firewall off or open port 8000 and 8001. I would recommend turning the firewall off.
