SETTING UP A DATABASE>>> "Why lose special powers, cause you

you might know me through-out the CZ and CS communities. I recently purchased a VDS from your company. We chose a few new mods to create and set up for our organization. And one of those mods we chose to install was something called the DIABLO MOD.

One of our main problems with this server. Is that when you work almost all day to build your characters special powers and abilities, the moment you leave to have a cigarette, All of your experience has been completely wiped away. And you have to once joined start all over again. That is most def. annoying. Maybe if there was a way to set it so that it would only specifically save experience for 3 days, and if you fail to come back into the server within a 3 day period you will then lose your special abilities and have to start over again. That I'm sure people can handle.

This is seriously the last step we have to face in order for us to release this server to the general public for play.

That definitely sounds like a plugin-specific problem. I'm not familiar with this particular plugin myself, so it's difficult for me to guess what might be going wrong. Have you posted in the forum for the mod, and were they able to assist you there? Does it have a configuration file where this might be defined?

This mod will not support savexp! It's just not the type of gameplay I want.

From what the author says, it looks like it doesn't support saved XP.

the author never made it save exp. You can post on the allied modders forums for someone to redo the plugin with either a localhost database save or a mysql save but they will probly charge you. Im surprised the plugin even still works since it was made in 05 and most plugins prior to the big update in 09 dont work still.
