metamod.so vs metamod_i386.so

Post by hlds_noob »

Can you guys tell me what the difference is between mm v 1.19p32 and the metamod.so NFO uses ?

Should I be using the NFO version for my vps or the regular 1.19p32 ver ?

Thanks.

We rename the files to make transition between the different versions easier. There are only two Metamod versions available for for the HL1 engine, Metamod and Metamod-P.

The difference is often small but it may be worth trying them both to see which offers better stability and performance with your mods. This is why we offer both in our standard game server control panel.

ahh, so metamod.so is just mm p1.19p32 renamed ?

I have been using the 1.19p32 ver for ever and it seems to be the most stable.

I'm not sure offhand which version of metamod that renamed .so if for, but it would be one or the other.
