I have not seen further information on Brink since this thread: http://www.nfoservers.com/forums/viewto ... 38&p=23980. When I have more, I will post.

From that link it looks like anyone will be able to hot Brink servers. When things calm down I am sure John will take a look and get some support going.
@Kraze^NFo> Juski has a very valid point

I updated FB on Friday about my latest thoughts on Brink. Here's what I said there:
Bethesda posted a little about the dedicated server yesterday in their blog: http://bethblog.com/index.php/2011/04/2 ... erver-faq/. It sounds like we may be able to run it, but there are a couple of lingering questions (such as whether it supports IP binding and what its resource requirements will be). We will continue to watch for a release so that we can immediately start testing it.

So do I. It doesn't seem like they're taking server hosting very seriously so far, and I hope that changes.

Rumor has it they will be releasing them tomorrow. They are based in the U.K. so it might be up shortly.

Hoping you guys get servers for brink up right away. I'm not sure I trust all the sites that are currently hosting servers. I would like to know by 10pm est at the latest if you guys will be hosting Brink servers, otherwise I may have to go with the preorder deals on other sites before I regret not getting the discounts. Here's to wishful thinking nfo! godspeed

They should of released dedicated server files early so GSP's and communities could be ready.

I don't see it on hlds yet, probably be at least another 35mins before we could see it show up.

Phantom Peanut, AFAIK nobody actually has the files for this game. Because of that, any GSP offering preorders is potentially offering for a game that they won't actually be able to run as they would expect.

Choosing a GSP that makes these kind of unwise gambles isn't something that I would recommend. Late/broken/missing dedicated servers have been a problem with many other games (MW2 and Black Ops, UT3, MNC, Breach, SS:HD, FFOW..) and it's always a nightmare for people who preordered from a host that made the gamble and can't actually put them up.

For late dedicated server releases, we typically have support rolled out very quickly. If you wait for it here and order after the support is added (if it can be!), you'll likely be able to have a server up sooner than you would at a host that is doing preorders.

They said the files would probably be released ahead of the game. I was hoping for at least a DAY before the game, not 5 mins. It takes time to setup and configure a server.

I plan to get at least 4 running on our dedi box, but still need the server files to do it. I just hope SD doesnt drop the ball on this one.
