An update from Splash Damage
A quick update on where we're at with the dedicated server files: There's a last-minute technical issue that we're working hard to fix. As soon as that's out of the way, the files will be made available (and that's still going to be today). It's also likely that we'll be patching the server shortly after release, but we want to get it out there as quickly as possible to allow you to configure your servers and get them ready for the carnage.
Also, Brink is now in the server filter for Steam.

Sounds like they may have worked with one GSP, then, at least at the very end. That's good, although that particular host does things differently than the rest of us (not putting servers onto their own IPs, for instance).

It's a little strange that they stopped responding to my emails, but I guess they're not familiar with NFO.

Given that it's a UK-based company perhaps they are working with hosts overseas, given the drastically high ping.

That is very true. Being in the same timezone does make communication a bit easier for last-minute stuff.

I really hope that they're covering all of the bases with their testing.

According to Badman in that thread:

I am hoping to use NFO for my clan's brink servers. Cheers to NFO staff, they were a big help sorting issues with neotokyo updates from client patches.

BRINK BRINK can't wait =D

I don't see anything in the about ip binding in brink - windows dedicated server 1.1.pdf or in the 3 preset .bat files, only see option for port.

Does anyone know if +set net_ip <ip address> works?

I'm currently looking at it.

So far, it seems that I was right in my prediction that IP binding would exist but not be properly tested -- +set net_ip "ip address" on the command line partially works, but not completely. IP binding is probably the #1 most overlooked feature in new game releases, since internal server testing is usually small-scale.

So far it looks like I should be able to add it, although pricing will be a total stab in the dark, and I won't be able to test the servers to make sure that clients can connect until the client is released.

I just got a reply from SD:
There are more cvars than the guide covers, some were missed accidentally, some aren't that important so are not documented. In this case +set net_ip <ip> was missed, but works
I hope this is good news!
