I am attempting to install a HomeFront Server on my Windows 2008 rc2 VDS. I can't seem to get the server to start.
Steps I have taken:
Read the HomeFront Wiki
Enabled the 3.5 .net Framework in Server Features
Installed the redist in the server files package
Created a DedicatedPlayerlist.txt and placed it in a DedicatedProfile_name folder in my server files
Used this line at cmd HFDedicated.exe SERVER ?maxplayers=32 -queryport=27015 -authport=8766 -rconport1=27010 -rconport2=27011 -configsubdir=DedicatedProfile_ASM -nohomedir -multihome=127.0.0.1
Changing the multihome IP to an IP on my machine.
What I get is a console screen with no text and no running server. Any recommendations for getting this to work?

Re: How To Install HomeFront ON Windows VDS
Have you tried running via the DedicatedServer.exe binary? It should give you an GUI, and it will create the necessary configuration files for you.

That is exactly what I did just after I made this post. Previously that failed with some weird error messages but after I did a repair of one of the redist and a reboot and did some config changes it loaded and made a new profile. I transferred that profile to my install and works like a charm!
Thanks for the help either way!
