Setting up a domain in control panel
I'm trying to help my friend out he bought a cs 1.6 server and it comes with 1 domain and 1 sub-domain and im trying to help him get the site up. but i cant figure out how to set the domain up. Could someone help me get the site up using the control panel and from there i can figure out the rest

Are you trying to use your own domain that you own, or are you just sticking with the provided sub domain?

In that case, you should be able to immediately start uploading the website's files through FTP or SFTP (instructions are on the "File manager" page). If the website requires a database, you can create one through the Databases page; you'll also need to edit the configuration of the site to use the new database login information, also on that page.
If you don't already have a site, I usually recommend starting with a phpBB forums install, and going from there -- the forum is usually the core component to a community. Branching out to a full site, Wordpress is probably the easiest option, but Drupal could also be a good choice.
