Problem with install Stealthbot [Wc3]

Post by Novadrake1111 »

I have an unmanaged server but am having a problem:

I am trying to get Stealthbot to work on the server for Warcraft III.

I get this error:

[02:46:09 PM] [BNLS] The server took too long to respond to your computer. The BNLS server appears to be unreachable at this time. Please check back in an hour or two, select a different BNLS server, or configure local hashing. (For more information regarding local hashing, visit http://www.stealthbot.net.)

I looked it up and it says the it is usually cause by something blocking the connection.

Help please!

If you are trying to connect to Battle.net, it is quite probable that another customer caused your IP block to be banned. They have a policy of banning IP blocks that don't correspond to actual players, if I recall correctly, and if they determined that our block was being for VDSes after investigating a case abuse, they likely banned it outright.

You might try moving your server to a different location to switch its IP block.

How can I switch locations, and if I do can I keep my currently installed stuff?

You would need to complete a change order, which we explain here: http://www.nfoservers.com/forums/viewto ... =22&t=3893

That shows a game server, but a VDS is the same way and done through the VDS order page. Your data is transfered over as part of the process.
