Is that saying that if I purchase a E3-1270 dedicated server that I would be able to run 4 64 slot servers if they were full? I'm confused by the X3470 part of it because I'm not sure what that is? My clan wants to rent a E3-1270 managed dedicated server.Full 64-slot servers use most of a E3-1270 physical processor core. We expect for X3470 and better dedicated machines to be able to run approximately one of these per physical core (four per machine). VDSes on the very fastest (E3-1270-based and X5675-based) hardware platforms may also be able to run these, at a rate of one per two HT cores, but we're not fully certain.

BF3 dedicated server question
I'm confused by this comment:
Re: BF3 dedicated server question
The X3470 bit refers to another CPU. If you are looking at renting one of the E3-1270 machines, then yes, you should be and to run 4 full 64-slot BF3 servers from what our testing has shown.

Re: BF3 dedicated server question
X3470s were on the last configuration of dedicateds before they got switched to E3-1270s. All new quadcore dedicateds should be on E3-1270s, so if you don't already have one, this should be what you get.
