Forum name change please

Can you please change my username to:

GHOST

or

GH0ST

^ with or without the zero

I tried to add a support ticket to do this but apparently they do not realize that you have disabled "changing" nicknames through the phpbb 3 system. You might want to pass that along to the support section.

I am sorry this is not a change we can make for you.

We do not support the software of the webspace. You would have to google search how to make that change and then do it.

It sounds like Brendan thought you were talking about the username on a forum you installed on the webspace.

I'll have to look into changing this feature and allowing it here when I get some time (if it's something that phpbb supports).

No problems brendan, I should of explained myself a little better.....

To allow username changes in phpbb3 -

1. ACP > General > Board Features: and set Allow username changes to Yes

2. ACP > Permissions > Group Permissions > Registered Users > Advanced permissions > Allow username change

I am not sure if changing usernames would be a good idea. It might make it kind of hard to keep track of certain users or make it hard to track down spammers..

I do not see a problem doing it on a per request basis though.


As for the editing you should be able to edit post for about 5 minutes. After that it is locked out.

I see what you mean from a spamming standpoint, it's no big deal. I just didn't know if this was in effect or not.
