We are experiencing the exact same issues you are.

We have 1 x 64 and 2 x 32 slot servers. Both of our 32 slots populate easily. We just have difficulty getting it going.

Last night we had 18 (yes 18!) members and friends in the server and it didn't add but a couple. We tried again and we managed to get up to 30.

I know others seem to populate right away without effort. It is frustrating.

The biggest problem with this game is the crappy server browser. Battlefail ftw.

Are you talking about your 64 player server here? If so, then yeah!... Something is definitely frakked up!

I'm encountering the same issue with my 64 player server, have been since launch.

It filled up to 58 people once, I had to kick someone because they were sitting idle in a parked chopper, server crashed, boom. Haven't been able to get more than 12 pubs in since then.

What exactly do you guys mean by changing the ping location, and where would i do that?

Also, I saw you talking about using an rcon app.. just curious which one you use? I need to download one for sure, I've been using the NFO control panel but I'd like to get an understanding of the rcon side of things.. also, I need to find a list of rcon commands. >_>

The game's kick-crash bug was quite annoying, indeed.

The pingsite is an option on the "Easy setup" page, in the top section.

I wrote our streaming console application and its interface is on the "Server control" page. You can also use the tool that DICE distributes -- "commandconsole.py" -- or 3rd party tools like bf3cc or procon. Edge, am I correct in thinking that this "Blaze" is a part of the backend that we are connected to and that there are other parts that other RSPs are connected to? I'm just trying to understand this.

I feel like Charlie Brown getting the ball pulled away by Lucy yet again. Every BF game i get a server just to find my group gets mucked over by EA/Dice. BF2, our server did fine at first, then EA launched like 2000 (about 1500 more than needed) official servers, killing off our small community server that was struggling to grow.

Same thing happened, but even worse in 2142 & BC2.

Honestly, if you are a small group trying to grow it's like Dice is just going out of their way to make that hard. Now in BF3, if you dont have a large community, good luck filling a 64 player server unless you jump thru a ton of hoops as an admin to manipulate the system. And if you work nights like me, it's near impossible.

Blaze is the back-end used by the game servers and by Battlelog to track servers and stats.

Pickerd, some customers have great luck with Quickmatch and others not, right now, and the same is true at other RSPs. We're trying to get more information from DICE/EA on how the system works and whether it is having a problem with the pseudo-randomness of its selections.

Hey! During my test phase of making my 64 player Conquest into 32 Rush, I am seeing something here! Either they just recently changed things or perhaps Rush brings in the Quickmatch players while Conquest doesn't. I got into my server whilst empty and it filled in a matter of minutes. It was insane! :O

I wiped everything from my Startup.txt and put the essentials in leaving everything else at their defaults. Here's my current Startup.txt...
