The kids run a minecraft server on our unmanaged server and now that we downgraded it, it runs not bad, but I see a lot of messages that the server can't keep up, etc.
I read either here or on your Facebook page that using SSD drives I think it was called improves the minecraft servers?
If so, how do we change the server if needed? This option doesn't appear to be available on unmanaged vds orders.

Re: Minecraft server
The SSD won't really help with that specific message, but will improve save times. If you'd like SSD space, submit a help request so we can check to see if there's SSD space at your location and then give you a coupon code for an upgrade.

Sure - we can give it a try. I know they mentioned that world saves pause the game for a bit whenever it happens. Might improve that.

Yes, it certainly might help with that message if you are low on memory, as you might see after a downgrade. I also recommend that you tweak MC to use a bit less memory itself, as this will give the system more to work with and improve its ability to cache. It seems counter-intuitive to give Java less, but it really does sometimes help.
