BF3 SQDM, TDM How to change 50 death cap till end of round?

Post by mscsniperx »

We are running a mixed mode 32 man BF3 server alternating between SQDM, TDM, and Rush.

The problem is, SQDM has a death cap of 50.. which for 8man squad is 6kills-average and is averaging around 5 Minutes pergame... ABSURDLY TOO SHORT!!

Same for TDM, which is 100 kill cap.. which is averaging 5 and even 4 minute rounds.

This is just absurdly too short. But I don't see anyway through rcon, nfo easy setup to change the deaths parameter.

Is there another way?

Thank you.

I would imagine that you would need to change the ticket rate. There should be an option to via the easy set up tab.
@Kraze^NFo> Juski has a very valid point

@Juski> You said I had a valid point! You can't take it back now! It's out there!

Kraze -

Unfortunately those settings are not available in the NFO Console.

Or will "Tickets given:" do this for us? If so, will this change the perimeters for the other play styles? (e.g. Rush, Conquest)

It might do what you want. It would affect all game modes, yes.

No need to post a screen shot, really, as we know what the CP looks like :). It exposes all the variables in the game that are documented.

Ok, thanks.

Unfortunately that won't work well because the ticket count for Rush in not Too short, the problem is TDM/SQDM.. So a global parameter for mixed modes doesn't work. By "fixing" the ticket count for Tdm/Sqdm, this would break the Rush mode by making the tickets too many. I guess for now, I'll just have to do something in between.

Is there any other tools, or future tools that would allow mixed mode rotations and different ticket settings per mode? That would be ideal.

Thanks.

Thanks, Edge. I only posted the screenshot to outline this to 'kraze', whom only imagined what it looked like. :) Anyhow, I removed the screenshot.

mscsniperx, I don't know of tools for that myself, but it seems like something that would be supported in the future by one or more utilities.

What I'd really like is for the game itself to add that support, as they did for BC2. I don't know if that's going to happen, though (if it does, it will be a long ways off, I think).
