Server Not Filling? Try THIS!! (BF3)

TimSad, you can try some new GUIDs. Some of the guys at the top have just gotten there by trying resetting the GUID over and over again, checking the list a couple of minutes after each reset, until the server shows up high.

It's an ugly game of one-upsmanship that we'd really like to avoid having to do, but the Battlelog list is fundamentally broken right now.

You can change the GUID through the "File manager" page of the control panel

I'm not sure if this topic has been covered or not but...

I just now changed my GUID and I can finally see my server in the list (but not with 0 filters). I see it with the North America filter alone and the Conquest Large filter alone and I was not able to before.

Anyways, I'm not sure if it has yet been discovered if all the same 150 servers that come up show for everybody or if those 150 servers are different for everybody. Anyone got the scoop on that?

EDIT: Woah! This is good news! My server is gaining players now this late at night with just myself in and seeding it and without the maxplayer QM trick on CQ Large. I think changing my GUID really has done the trick. We'll see if my luck continues...

The same 150 top servers show up for everyone with the same filter set, yes. That is the root of the problem right now; if you're not in the top 150, your server founders.

I am glad to report that all 3/4 of my servers are full and on the list.
Kept resetting GUID
My Dallas one is full 16/24 hours a day (non 150)

IcEWoLF, that may stem from the fact that whether you show up changes depending on the other filters (other servers being full or just not meeting the client's other choices might push yours into the findable-zone). Whatever it is, though, it's good news for you .

HOT DAMN! And after less than an hour, my server is full (64/64)! It really does have everything to do with the GUID! I didn't even use the incrementor at all! Last time my server was 64/64 was on initial release of this game.

Now, I'm assuming that it is possible for my server to be bumped off of these singly filtered lists that I previously mentioned?

Yes, other people doing the same thing may push you down over time.

We've had really good luck filling our server until yesterday everything went to crap.

My 48 player seems to be slowly dying over the past few days however my 32, which was always dead is starting to get pretty popular. Most of the joiners are regulars now too it seems. I get a HUGE amount of Euro traffic during the day even though its in NYC which I suppose helps, which transitions to US traffic later in the evening.

I wish EA would either fix battlelog or we knew a bit more about how it works (it doesn't), since it seems to be so spotty.

What has worked for me and my community is giving player incentives. Our BF3 servers gives away prizes to players on a monthly cycle. Most kills, most knife kills, and points at the end of the month are all eligible for cash prizes.

Its a big investment financially, but it helps us stand out.
