Allowing COPY in admin CP

Post by .=QUACK=.Major.Pain »

Is there a reason why we aren't allowed to copy from the events page in our cp?

You post the changelog in the events updates, and I like to copy and paste it on our forum to inform our members what has changed, but highlighting the information and selecting copy will only copy the first line. A new paragraph seems to break the copy.

I don't have any problems copying out of the Event Log. Are you using a particular method of copying? I just use CTRL+C and it works fine for me.

Copying from the control panel is not restricted in any way.

I use Chrome as my primary browser and have no problems at all. Also no problems in IE or FF. It copies normally.

Possibly you have a plugin or setting that is messing things up for you.

Not the same. Cntrl C and V do the same result.

I would recommend trying a different browser as a test. No one else can reproduce the issue you are having, so there is a decent chance that something is going on with your browser install.

Also as a test trying just highlighting one word and see if it works. Sometimes when you highlight areas of text especially when there are formatted or coded in to separate boxes it can cause problems.

I get this in Chrome sometimes, I just get by it by copying certain areas first or just attempting to copy the whole page.
