Server is dumping players

So, all of my servers are dumping players randomly.

They aren't crashing, but just kicking all the players. This happens more so on the 64 player servers than the 32s.

That is a common problem with BF3 right now and has several possible causes. The upcoming R9 patch will hopefully fix this and many other problems, but there is no ETA on when it will be yet.

Ah, hopefully it'll be resolved. It sucks going from all full servers to all empty servers in one day.

I found the only way to fix this is by changing maps or restarting the server... however I must say I'm not keen on spending any more money on a server that costs me far too many hours compared to enjoyable playing time. Hopefully R9 comes soon or BF3 is going to the trash can.

Seems like the only way to really keep people in is to set a server to normal or hardcore and set the auto player adjuster to 16-64. Getting around 10 people to help out fills the server, but god forbid you change the slightest thing, it won't bring anyone in from the quickmatch at all.

My server was very successful when this started, ranking in the top 125. After R8 my population has gone down massively. I was able to set my own settings and people were joining/leaving normally and I didn't have issues with drops.

My plan today is to fill the server with all normal settings and just leave it there in hopes it doesn't crash or anything. I was pumped the first week or so and ready to get a 32man server for rush, but I'm really glad I resisted on it and just added 16 slots to my VDS instead.

I hope DICE gets their act together on the R9 patch, I'd love to shove more money NFO's way, the servers are the best I've ever played on

It's got a bit to do with there currently being 17,546 servers running and only 70,300 online at this time. That's about 4 players per server. If some server are full with 32-64 players, that leaves thing pickens for the rest of us.
