That's where access to the server SS folder directly creates realtime.
Websync really blows as it is with once a day auto sync.
Constantly have to minimize the game to go through 2 pages to websync and view SS that appear 5-10 mins later.
Realtime is best, or every 5-10 minutes be be nice.
For anyone wanting to view our SS to check for a hacker, they only get yesterdays SS unless we force it, so it doesn't help police the server for radar hacks.

Re: Another question for screenshots
I can investigate whether the frequency can be increased.
It is for performance reasons. Syncs can cause performance issues. Mostly this applies to other games, but any time many files are involved, it can hurt performance.

Re: Another question for screenshots
From what I read, it checks every SS in the folder to compare if it's new or old.
That would probably increase the load and take a lot of time.
It probably can't be done to immediately transfer a new SS to webhost to create realtime.
I guess to get close, it would have to transfer more often, like every 10 mins.
I would like to say transferring only new SS would be best, but with all the checking and the slowness of file transfer, it still will be slow.

Re: Another question for screenshots
First off I assume that you have to have SS's "synced" to another folder from the default PB folder because its inside the BF3 directory? If thats the case, isn't there a way to change the default path for where the SS's are placed?
Re: Another question for screenshots
We are having this problem also - with three servers, I would like the option to have the files synched to different folders on our website.HarryNutz wrote:First off I assume that you have to have SS's "synced" to another folder from the default PB folder because its inside the BF3 directory? I would like to see two things:
More frequent automatic synching
The ability to choice the destination path - or at least increment ie svss, svss1, svss2, etc
Re: Another question for screenshots
Syncing wouldn't even be necessary if they could either give direct access to the PB folder or have the screenshots directly placed into a different folder which they could then give direct access to. Would also be nice cause then you could delete all the screenshots once viewed.
Re: Another question for screenshots
You can do this by setting up different subdomains.GitSum wrote:I would like the option to have the files synched to different folders on our website.
You have direct access to the svss folder through the server FTP.they could either give direct access to the PB folder or have the screenshots directly placed into a different folder
Re: Another question for screenshots
I will have to give the sub domain thing a try. Currently I was doing that by using our main Domain name, thx
Re: Another question for screenshots
That actually worked pretty easy. Created the three subdomains and now the WebSynch options for each of our servers show these locations, so I can have the screenshots go into the proper folder. Thx John!
ps - it still would be nice to auto websynch more than once every 24 hours...
