Server reboot

Post by EazyMango »

We have a couple of non managed VSP's and was wondering what would be the best software ( preferably free or low priced ) to setup a Reboot / Stop / Start page to allow access to a few other people so when a server hard-locks someone can login and reboot it or start it.

I have restart scripts running but sometimes they do fail.

Thanks

Is the VDS itself locking up, or just a game server on it? What OS are you running, and what game?

Just two of the games we run lock up no the VDS itself.

a COD4 that runs a zombie mod that causes the game to reboot about once a day, and about once or twice a week just locks up and don't come back up.

Was looking at Firedamon but was also looking at something so we could allow a couple of guys to switch between command line start ups to switch between a league mod and back to our bolts only mod when they needed.

If you are running Windows, Firedaemon Pro would certainly be one solution, as it has a "Fusion" product that allows web-based administration. If you need something which is free and a bit more complicated/comprehensive, you might try http://www.gamecreate.com/. There are also other paid game server control panels, such as the popular TCAdmin.

you know I'm looking over our managed server and don't see a area I can create admin users or if there is one I'm blind and don't see it.

I will probably go with Firedaemon

There should be an option to add subusers under "Panel Access" in the control panel.
@Kraze^NFo> Juski has a very valid point

@Juski> Doesn't matter!
@Juski> You said I had a valid point! You can't take it back now! It's out there!
