How do i install raven shield on VDS

hey guys, just got a vds server, first time running one, how do i install rainbow six raven shield on it?

That is not a game that we support here and it's been too many years for me to remember much about setting it up, but if it's like UT2k4, it should be a matter of uploading the files to the VDS and running a command like "ucc server $startmap -multihome=$ip -nohomedir" from the "System" folder (with the variables filled in appropriately). From there, you can tweak settings as part of $startmap, by adding "?setting=value" chunks.

Checking with a game panel I use to install games, apparently you need a license from the developer. Guess it requires purchasing a key.

Pain, I don't think that's actually the case. I believe that we did host it here for a time, and it did not have a special ranking program. Googling for "raven shield dedicated server" pops up some sites distributing files for the game, which will likely work for his needs.
