fy_iceworld not working?

Does fy_iceworld work on the nuc servers? Ive tried two nuc servers and I get the same error when I turn the map to iceworld. "Could not open vegas.wad" This also happens to many others who were connected to the server after it changed to iceworld. Any solution? Thnx

We removed fy_iceworld from our future installs for this reason. It appears that CS 1.6 has some "issues" with the de_vegas.wad file and uploading it to the client. Sometimes creating an fy_iceworld.res file in the maps folder referencing it will help this, and sometimes not.

If you manually install de_vegas.wad on your client, that should eliminate the error.

Also I forgot to mention that I have played iceworld on a different server, so how can it be client?

It's possible that there is a modified version of fy_iceworld floating around that does not need de_vegas.wad. I will look into it.

I didn't say the problem was the client, I said it was a problem with Steam and not uploading to the client. So technically that would be a problem with the coding in the server.

all i did was take the vegas.wad file out of the cstrike folder from 1.5 and copy and paste it in the new steam location on my HD.
And if you dont have it there you can download the vegas.wad here>http://cosclan.nuclearfallout.net/Forum ... ost&id=241 and put it in this file on your pc C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\your@email.com\counter-strike\cstrike I had to have it to d/l when we first went 1.6 because everyone else had this problem
