Actual error

Post by smoth310 »

The actual error is a TIMED OUT ERROR!

Does anyone have any clue with this is happening to everyone who joins our server?

And it only happends when there is a change of map.

Helps if you inform them which server you are referring to... IE: IP address.

I wouldn't recommend running fakefull, pretty sure that would be the problem. Its a plugin not supported for 1.6, wasnt made for it.

also when you got the bots, steam shows everyone that bots are in the server, not actual people :(

I'm not seeing any emails in our inbox about this. For server-specific problems, you should email us.

Map change timeouts and crashes are typically due to configuration errors.

Hi guys...

well if encountered another prob now that i actually sit and take a look at our server.

The first still continues with the problem, that every time the map changes any player waiting on the map to change from the current to the next gets TIMED OUT!
Here is the IP: 66.117.18.56:27015

Another problem i have is when i upload maps to the server at nuclear with wads... any player that tries to download the map CANNOT download the wad. It reads an error saying COULD NOT OPEN WAD.

Anyone help... PLEASE help!!!

thanks in advanced

I believe .RES files are still needed for certain things, perhaps this is one of them?

We resolved the map loading problem through email. The problem there turned out to be a 3mb statsme.log file. As we say in the FAQ, when that file gets large it causes map load times to balloon horribly.

On the .wad problem, it sounds like you just need to fully install the map on your client (i.e., extracting the wad file also).
