I've integrated HLTV functionality into the control panel in a similar manner to Ventrilo, and we're now running test servers. We'll examine the performance of these test servers and use that in finalizing our pricing for HLTV. I would expect for us to officially offer HLTV servers for rent within a few days.

Can HLTV be passworded? I'd like to use it as an admin tool, not for the public.

Most places that provide HLTV have it priced at $1 per connection for servers rented from them. Some of your closest competitors (those providing similar servers on similar network at similar prices) provide HLTV for free with the server.

I understand this is a business and you are in it to make money but from what I've seen the prices look a little high.

We appreciate your input.

Some places also charge the full price for HLTV -- like gamedaemons. Our pricing is based on how much bandwidth the HLTV will used assuming that it is always connected to a server and occasionally used by clients.

We will consider lowering the price further.

I haven't seen any similarly reputable companies with lower prices than ours for public HLTV servers, but as I said we will look into lowering prices. Keep in mind however that we can only go so low before even fees for accepting payments start to hurt us and the support burden becomes more expensive than the cost of the server.

Incidentally, there's no need to choose the same location that your server is at for the HLTV. Most people will be perfectly satisfied with an HLTV at Hybrid LA. Lag with HLTVs is not as noticable at all since interactivity is not a major part of using them.

I lowered the price on 10-player HLTV's to make them more affordable.

The only location I see on the order form is the InterNAP Seattle location. Is the LA location available still?
