Hai, I'm trying to install sourceban and i'm having problem with 2 error that shows up on the error log.. And my admins don't work when i add myself from sourceban.. the 2 error are "L 03/25/2012 - 13:03:56: [sourcebans.smx] Database failure: Could not find Database conf "sourcebans". See FAQ: http://sourcebans.net/node/19"
And

so i went to the website it told me to for node/20 and i got this "* Go into your webserver's control panel and check if there's a section called MySQL Access Hosts or something named similar. There you can add the IP address mentioned in the error. This is usually the IP of your gameserver, but it can also be slightly different, so make sure you copy and paste it exactly from the error." but i do not know where mysql access host is.. so i was wondering if you guys have anyclue?

If this is for a game server from us, it is already allowed. If it is from another host, you would just need to go to the "Databases" page and use the "Allow external connection" option. Specific IP addresses would not need to be entered.

If your host uses Cpanel then look for the remote Mysql icon in the database section.If it's still being blocked then you may have to contact your host and have them whitelist the ips.

Your error of "Can't connect to local MySQL server" indicates that your plugin is not using the correct information to try to connect -- it's attempting to connect to a server on localhost (127.0.0.1) instead of the remote one.

We're currently using NFO's Webhost. And all the information was changed correctly in the config files. What to do?

You also opened a support request and I checked and confirmed that everything was set up properly on the webhosting side. You will need to troubleshoot further on the game server side, which you indicated is not hosted with us.

It would of been helpful if a resolution was found to this problem, that it be reported here. To not share is not very helpful to the rest of us.
