Running how many slots?

I am looking at either the single core VDS or dual core.

I'm wondering how many slots of TF2 I can run on the single core and the dual core?
I know it depends on the plugins load, but give me a guess.

Also, for the 2 day trial, I've made a NFOServers.com account a while back and "added" a server but never paid for it so it didn't activate. Can I still a get 2 day trial, and how to do cancel it before the 2 day trial?

You could probably get 1-2 24 slot servers on a single core depending on the CPU you were put on. If you did not activate the server you should be eligible for a free trial but the order confirmation page will confirm or deny that when you place the order.

You can cancel the server via the payments tab in your control panel at any time. You can also open a support request asking for exact instructions.

What would be the weakest CPU I`d get?

Another thing is, just say like 1. yes 2. no etc

1. Single core 1x32 slots +
2. Dual core 2x32 slots
3. dual core 1x24 and 1x32

Our machine specs vary a bit based on configuration and location but they will be Nehalem or better.

Depends on the configuration of each server but you could probably do all all of those servers you listed.
